Facial Expressions: The model on the right uses a mysterious expression on his face and the model the left uses a relaxing and calm expression. They are both using a direct mode address. The connotations of this is them looking at the camera, making the audience want to buy or understand what type of product it is.

Character Type: The characters have been chosen for a reason, the reason being is the character on the right is a good footballer and scores any goals whereas the model on the left looks more of a man who would buy quality products, which makes the whole advert suit him.

Gesture or Posture: The models pose suits the picture. The picture on the right is posing like that because he’s trying to put across a message to the audience. The picture on the left is posed like that to show mostly men use Gucci.

Costume: The picture on the right is dressed in a sporty way to show the audience it’s a sport related advert. The picture o the left is dressed topless to show it’s a man thing and also to attract women.
